I LOVE homemade salsa, so I thought I would share my grandmother’s recipe and send out a request for all of your favorite family salsa recipes. Let’s swap!
Grandma’s Salsa
7 qts. tomatoes, peeled and diced (after dicing, place in colander or on paper towel to drain off as much juice as possible so not too watery)
2 large white onions, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
6 long green anaheim peppers, diced
3 yellow wax peppers, diced
3 dark green peppers, diced
2 T. oregano
3 T. salt
1/2 C. vinegar
1/2 C. sugar (optional)
Place in pan and boil well for 15 minutes. Pour into jars and seal. Boil in water bath for 30 minutes.
