Refreshing Summer Drink

My family loves Orange Julius’ but I rarely make them because our copycat recipe calls for quite a bit of sugar.  So last week I revamped the recipe to make it healthier and include food storage items.  I like it just as well and now I can feel good about making it much more often.  Here’s my new version for this yummy summer cooler:

COPYCAT ORANGE JULIUS

1 c. unsweetened frozen orange juice

1 c. milk (can use powdered milk and increase water)

1 c. water

1/3 c. Xagave (agave nectar)

1/2 tsp. Sweet Vanilla Powder

ice cubes (add until you reach desired thickness)

  1. Before the advances in sweeteners, about 30 years ago,I made a drink my boys loved. Equal parts unsweetened orange juice and plain yoghurt and 1/2 to 1 tsp vanilla. Put in blender, or use hand mixer. Now with their own kids, my boys still serve this healthy beverage.

  2. Hi Kim, This is great work and thanks for sending me the heads up so I can fill in with our products. Your girls are pretty cute too! Ali
