My grandmother first introduced me to this recipe. It is now one of my favorite treats, and a requirement for our Tuacahn (our local outdoor theater) events. My family likes it as well as caramel corn. Popcorn is a good addition to food storage. If you find that Friday movie rental night isn’t rotating your supply fast enough, try this yummy recipe.
HONEY POPCORN
1 C. honey
1 1/2 C. sugar
1 C. milk (2% works well, but 1% and skim don’t work as well)
1 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Cook and stir all ingredients to soft ball stage. Pour mixture over large bowl of popcorn. This recipe stays sticky and chewy like soft caramel popcorn.

Yummy! I have a yummy peanut butter popcorn that we make, but I am going to try this! Thanks!
Would whole milk work?
would powdered milk work?
thanks it sound very very good.!!!!!!!
Ditto Gaby…I’m thinking maybe evaporated milk and powdered milk combo (?) for the ultimate “food storage” treat. I know you’ll try it – so let us know the results.
