I made these Wednesday night and I really like them! I added low-sugar mini chips. They were completely moist, but fell apart kind of easily (crumbly). I think now that you gave me the idea of soft white wheat I’d like to try these with that to soften the overall texture.

YAY! A “healthy” alternative. It seems like food storage and whole grain, low fat can be hard to mix. I like the applesauce suggestion.

I tried these with honey and succant they were delicious! Definitely a keeper! I think red wheat would be okay it would just make the brownies heavier and have more of a wheat flavor.

you can use red wheat. I used red winter wheat when I made these and they turned out great.
